What The Horse

If anybody has been to DIA recently you will find a 20 foot tall blue mustang with glowing eyes. The artist of the sculpture died during the creation of the horse. In my honest opinion the mustang is a HORRIBLE way to say "Welcome To Denver." I would prefer a sign that says"Welcome To Denver" instead that piece of offencive art. Denver is full of horrible art and sculptures but the blue mustang is by far the worse one in Denver. Most people around Denver agree with me that the horse has got to go. Even writers form Denver's local magazine "5280" agree with me. The mustangs bright glowing eyes not only are extremely ugly but also extremely uninviting. The spotlight that shines up the mustangs but is a terrible way to have it stand out in the nighttime. If the artist hadn't died while making this sculpture i would rip it down myself. Some people say it is a memorial to his life. All around the Internet are anti mustang sculpture support sites. Also the horse take up space that could be used for ANYTHING ELSE. As the subtitle for the article in "5280" said "is the mustang a public piece of art or a public enemy." In my mind the horse is a public enemy. I don't get it how the sculpture could littlerly kill someone and people think that it helps the artists memory. I love the Mayor of Denver and the Governor but i wan everybody to pass the word to them to take down that terrible blue beast that has our great airport in its grasp.
