Land, Air, Lake?

In just two short days I have gone from air to land to water. We spent today on the lake, lake Waconia just a ten minute drive from our friends house. This lake is a big size full of beautiful boats and houses on the banks of the lake. Our friends boat is huge that can fit eight people including the driver. As we drove at about 12:30 we pulled the boat into the lake and started exploring. For our friends going on a lake is no problem but for land locked land lovers like my brothers and I it was like going on the moon. A beautiful blue sky with no heat was a great change from our 95 degree weather in Denver. My first adventure was going on the water skis and let me tell you that was an experience I will not soon forget. I believe it was three times before I gave up. One my last time I was not positioned right when I thought I was. I was pulled off my feet and later found out I probably strained a muscle in my arm. Trying to get back up on the boat was a terrible experience. With my mouth and throat filled with the water of the lake I felt like throwing in the towel. But I thought that tubing might be my thing. So I went on there big blue tube and decided to try it out with my good friend. That probably was one of the coolest parts of the day. Of course forgetting the four times I fell including the time I slipped off the boat and lost the googlies I was using. My last adventure for the day was trying to wake board. That didn't work either. I thought that my arm was getting better from my first problem of the day but it only got worse. I gave up my wake boarding dream after only two times. All-in-all it was a great day, I had a great lunch of ham and cheese and I finally git to ride an inner tube on the water. Boating is a great way to let everything out of your mind. Even if I had some trouble on the way boating has a sense of freedom to go along with it. The fresh breeze blowing in my face and the seaweed tickling my feet. As tired as I was it was a great way to let things go. I will be going on a lake tomorrow an even bigger one called Pinatonca. I am very exited.
